Viper Hood Service Mod

Tech Tip: The new viper hood has a bulletin concerning inside lip (hood stay) See Above. Problem is it cracks, then does not keep hood just right and pops out in the center. Their fix is to snap it off and modify the belly. Mine started to crack more than half way off. I put hot glue on both inside and out of that tab, hope it works . I think that would be a great preventive step. Don't be shy put it on thick on the outside of the tab then remember the inside needs room for the belly pan. The hood comes off real easy, the best way to get a good working position. Some people may try to use other material to fix this like plastic weld or epoxy or even some type of silicone, but I liked the hot glue. Ask your dealer about this if your not sure what to do.
